New designs require individual solutions, whether it’s grading (adjusting sizes) or finding ways to prevent stubborn edges from curling. Developing new textures, optimizing them, and simplifying them at the same time are also important parts of the design process.
The sources of inspiration are diverse: they range from fascinating structures in nature to exciting yarn combinations, as well as colors and shapes that catch the eye in everyday life. Sometimes the pattern comes first, and sometimes it’s a garment that calls for a fitting design.
Experimenting and developing take up a lot of time and form the foundation for creating new, unique knitting patterns again and again with curiosity and passion.
